Dankyjabo
Dankyjabo is the online name of Jesse, a British YouTube commentator who covers TikTok creators and internet drama.[1][2] His main channel, created in November 2015, had 455,000 subscribers and 82.8 million views as of October 2026, and his second channel, Shepherd Boy, carries livestream clips and shorter commentary.[2][3] His most-viewed video, about the TikTok mother Stormy Lee Pence, has drawn almost 1.5 million views.[4]
In January 2025 the commentary YouTuber Louis McClung published a video that repeated allegations of misogyny and harassment against Dankyjabo, drawing on claims by the streamer Katiclyzm. Dankyjabo answered with a 51-minute response, McClung deleted the video within eight days, and Katiclyzm posted an apology to him.[5][6][7] In 2026 viewers criticized two of his takes, and he retracted one of them.[8][9]
Early life and identity [edit]
Dankyjabo's early life is known mostly from his own channels. He gives his first name, Jesse, as his display name on TikTok and X, and he has not made a surname public.[1][10] His YouTube channel lists its country as the United Kingdom.[2] The YouTube Fandom wiki gives his birth date as 18 November 2003, says he has described himself as Egyptian, and places him in London in one entry and in Scotland in another, citing an Instagram post tagged in Glasgow.[a][5]
His earliest surviving upload is "The Othello Homework", a school project posted in October 2020 and addressed to his teacher.[11]
Career [edit]
Dankyjabo's career is built on long-form commentary videos about people who become known on TikTok and YouTube, which he records and also streams live.[12]
YouTube channel
The Dankyjabo YouTube channel was created on 11 November 2015, though its first surviving video dates from 2020.[2][11] Milestone dates logged on the YouTube Fandom wiki run from June 2024 to December 2025, the period in which the channel grew fastest.[5] By 29 October 2026 it had 455,000 subscribers, 338 videos and 82,817,479 views.[2]
His subjects include family vloggers, scammers, creators accused of predatory behavior, and dating and relationship accounts. He often returns to a story in follow-up videos, as with the beauty influencer Mikayla Nogueira, the TikTok creator known as the "Peter Pan Girl" and the creator OnlyJayus.[12] His two biggest uploads are "The Dark Truth About TikTok's Worst Mother And Her 'Spoilt Brat'", with about 1.46 million views, and "TikTok's WORST Dating Account", about the creator Molly Rutter, with about 1.09 million.[4][13] "Tyler Catastrophe Is Leaving The Internet" passed 900,000 views in 2026.[14] Some videos are made with a friend credited as AJ.[15]

Shepherd Boy and livestreams
Shepherd Boy, his second YouTube channel, was created on 6 April 2024 and had 93,600 subscribers and 150 videos by October 2026.[3] It carries edited livestream sessions and shorter takes. In April 2026 it posted two on-stream debates with the YouTuber JiDion, one about an interview with the streamer Phibz and one about online "predator catchers".[16][17] The commentator Papa Gut also published a stream in which Dankyjabo and JiDion debate the YouTuber Bludspeth.[18]
Podcasts and other platforms
Dankyjabo's podcasts and other platforms extend his YouTube work. His Spotify podcasts include one linked from his main channel and a daily show promoted on Shepherd Boy.[19][20] He also takes support through Patreon and Cameo, and business inquiries go to an address at the agency domain sparkmedia.la.[21][22][2] His TikTok account had about 6,400 followers in October 2026.[1]
Work with ImAllexx
Dankyjabo's work with ImAllexx, the YouTuber Alex Elmslie, is described in other creators' videos rather than in his own. A January 2025 video by Papa Gut calls him "ImAllexx's Editor", and the YouTube Fandom wiki says McClung's callout pointed to his former employment under ImAllexx.[23][5] ImAllexx had faced abuse allegations from a former partner in June 2024, a story that did not name Dankyjabo.[24]
Allegations and controversies [edit]
The allegations and controversies below are claims and criticism made by other people, set out with Dankyjabo's responses. None of the sources reports a criminal complaint, lawsuit or platform penalty against him.[5]
2025 allegations by Louis McClung and Katiclyzm
The 2025 allegations came from Louis McClung, an American commentary YouTuber, who uploaded a 24-minute video titled "Dankyjabo" on 3 January 2025. Its description read "IT Doesn't Feel Good To Be Talking About Another Youtuber" and linked to a stream by Katiclyzm, a commentary streamer with about 300,000 subscribers.[25] According to the YouTube Fandom wiki, the video repeated Katiclyzm's claims and accused Dankyjabo of misogyny and harassment, pointing to past offhand jokes, his work for ImAllexx and private messages he had exchanged with Katiclyzm.[5] A fan-compiled page summarizing the dispute says the video called him "a porn addicted misogynist".[26] The Fandom wiki's own article on McClung describes the claims as false sexual harassment allegations.[27] The video reached about 286,000 views.[25]
Dankyjabo replied on 11 January 2025 with "My Response To Louis McClung", a 51-minute video that he said carried no ads and was not monetized; it had about 467,000 views by October 2026.[6] The Fandom wiki summarizes his position as calling the claims false, malicious and hypocritical.[5] McClung deleted his callout the same day, reacted to the response on a livestream that he also deleted, and posted "My Response To Dankyjabo" on 12 January.[28][29] On 13 January Katiclyzm posted "My Apology To DankyJabo", which she later set to private.[7] The fan-compiled page says she apologized for making heavy accusations without proof while keeping her general opinions.[26]
Commentary channels covering the dispute mostly sided with Dankyjabo. Papa Gut called the accusations bad faith, Goddamnit Malcolm and AugieRFC described them as false, Night Phoenix Press used it as a case study in poor callout videos, and Austin Green covered it in a video of more than two hours.[30][31][32][33][34] In December 2025 Toastify included the episode in "How Louis McClung Lost It All".[35] McClung's YouTube channel address no longer loaded in October 2026.[36]
2026 criticism over the JiDion reaction
The 2026 criticism over his JiDion reaction followed a Shepherd Boy stream on 13 August 2026, in which Dankyjabo reacted to JiDion's reply to a documentary about the YouTuber EDP. The case involved a girl who was 15 at the time.[37][9] The creator Slopmmuel and many viewers said his take blamed the minor by focusing on who had messaged whom first, and some commenters said he went easy on JiDion because the two had streamed together.[8] The criticism was of his opinions on stream, not a claim of misconduct by him.
Dankyjabo unlisted the video and pinned a comment saying he did not agree with how he had approached it, that he had "cut him way too much slack", and that he was retracting the takes. He pledged to donate 1,000 to RAINN, the American anti-sexual-violence charity, "so I don't profit off those takes".[b][9]
2026 misogyny accusations over Stephanie Soo
The 2026 misogyny accusations came from viewers after Dankyjabo criticized the true crime YouTuber Stephanie Soo for telling crime stories in a mukbang format, in which she eats on camera. He answered them in "The Mask Is Slipping", posted to Shepherd Boy on 21 April 2026, which drew about 236,000 views. His pinned comment added that Soo had since addressed the format. The accusations came from commenters, and no creator published a callout over them.[38]
Personal life [edit]
Dankyjabo's personal life appears only in passing on his channels. According to the YouTube Fandom wiki, he had a hairless cat named Prince that sometimes appeared in his videos.[5] In January 2026 he posted "This Needs To Be Talked About", an edited livestream about immigration enforcement in the United States.[39] The breakup videos that appear in searches for his name are about other creators' relationships, such as his coverage of the TikTok couple Jentzen and Elliana.[12]
